C = cup = 250ml fluid or 225g = 16T
pt = pint = 500ml fluid = 2C
qt = quart = 1L fluid = 2pt
gal = gallon = 4L = 4qt
lb = pound = 454g = 1 pt of water, in weight
oz = US fluid ounce = 30ml

Metric:
g = gram = 1/5t
kg = kilogram = approx 2lb
ml = milliliter = 1/5t
L = 1 liter = about 1qt

Approximate:
dash = one quick shake, about 1/4t
splash = about 2t

Temperature:
275°F = 140°C = gas mark 1 = warming, proofing bread
300°F = 150°C = gas mark 2 = slow roasting meat
325°F = 160°C = gas mark 3
350°F = 180°C = gas mark 4 = baking cakes
